Founded in September 1993, the United States-China Association of Commerce, Inc. (USCAC) is a major organizations in the Washington DC area. At present, it has more than 300 Chinese and Western members, thousands of business organizations. The mission of USCAC is to promote the economic and trade development and technical and cultural exchanges between the United States and China, and to enhance friendship and understanding between the two governments and peoples.
The three principal tasks of USCAC are:
- To assist members to keep abreast of business information and to provide relevant advisory services.
- To assist members understand the laws and policies of the United States and China to improve the business management standards.
- To serve as a bridge for members, helping them expand channels of Sino-US cooperation in economic and trade development and for exchanges in science and technology, as well as cultural exchanges.
